Memorial Şişli Hospital treats international patients in Istanbul and holds the Ministry of Health international health tourism authorisation. The first assessment is usually a video consultation, after photographs and a medical history have been reviewed by a surgeon. You should receive a written plan and an itemised quotation before you commit to anything.
On arrival, after the transfer from the airport, you meet the surgeon in person for an examination and the final plan. Blood tests and any imaging are done the same day, and the consent conversation should cover the technique, the risks and what the result can and cannot achieve.
After the operation the team checks dressings, drains and pain relief on a set schedule, and the surgeon sees you again before you are cleared to fly. You should leave with written aftercare instructions, medication, a copy in a language you read and a named contact for questions once you are home.
