What personal data this website collects, why, how long it is kept and the rights you have over it. Information you give us about your health is covered in its own notice.

This policy explains how the operator of this website, identified on the Legal Notice page, handles personal data about visitors, people who request a consultation, people who use the live chat and people who contact us. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean that operator, which is the data controller for the processing described here.
Where you go on to deal with a clinic, that clinic is a separate controller with its own privacy notice. We explain below exactly what we pass on and when.
We keep server logs of requests to the site: the page requested, the time, your IP address, your browser and operating system, and the page that referred you. We use them to keep the site running, to detect abuse and to understand which pages are read. Logs are kept for 30 days.
If we measure traffic, we do it in aggregate with a privacy-focused service that sets no cookies and stores no personal data, so no consent banner is needed. If we ever enable a service that relies on cookies, we will ask for consent before it runs. The Cookie Policy lists what is in use.
Your display currency and, where you set one, your home country for price comparison are stored in your own browser only. They never reach our servers.
The consultation form asks for your name, email address, a phone number if you want a call back, the procedure and destination you are interested in and a free-text message. We use this to answer you and, only when you ask us to, to forward your enquiry to a clinic. The message field frequently contains information about your health; that is special-category data and it is handled as described in the Health Data and Consent Notice.
Starting a chat opens a conversation with a patient coordinator. We store the name you give, the messages both sides write, the page you started from, your language and the time of each message, together with a record of the consent you gave before the first message. Chat transcripts are health data in practice, because people describe their bodies and their medical history in them, and they are protected accordingly.
We keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any follow-up.
We rely on the following bases under the GDPR and the UK GDPR:
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Our infrastructure providers may process data in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and the United States. Transfers outside the EEA and the UK rely on adequacy decisions where they exist and otherwise on standard contractual clauses with supplementary measures. Clinics we forward enquiries to are located in the destination country you chose, which for most enquiries is Turkey; that transfer happens only with your explicit consent and you are told about it before you give it.
You can ask us to:
You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, contact us using the details on the Legal Notice page. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the EU that is the data protection authority of the country where you live or work; in the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office. We would ask that you raise the matter with us first, so that we can put it right.
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and the consultation form and chat must not be used by anyone under 18. Intimate procedure pages and surgical imagery are behind an age confirmation.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, stored on infrastructure with access controls, and health-related records are restricted to named staff with a need to see them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
When the substance of this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page and, where the change affects data we already hold about you, we tell you directly.
