How to complain about this website, about a clinic or surgeon listed on it, or about content, and what happens when you do.

If something on the site is wrong, if we handled your enquiry or your data badly, or if a member of our team fell short, tell us using the details on the Legal Notice page. Give us the page or the date of the contact, what happened and what you would like us to do.
We acknowledge complaints within three working days and aim to give a full response within fifteen working days. If it takes longer we tell you why and when to expect an answer. Complaints about personal data are handled under the Privacy Policy and you also have the right to go to a supervisory authority.
Treatment is provided by the clinic, under an agreement between you and the clinic, and the clinic is responsible for it. A complaint about treatment should be made to the clinic first, and then to the regulator in the clinic's country. We can tell you which regulator that is and how to reach it.
We still want to hear about it. A credible complaint about a listed clinic or surgeon triggers a review of that listing under our verification policy, and a pattern of complaints leads to removal. We cannot investigate clinical matters, award compensation or represent you in a dispute with a clinic, and we will say so plainly rather than let you think otherwise.
If your complaint concerns something we did, such as forwarding your enquiry to the wrong clinic or passing on inaccurate information, it is a complaint about us and the first section applies.
If a page is inaccurate, out of date, misleading or missing something important, tell us. Content complaints go to the editorial team and, where clinical, to a medical reviewer. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page's review date is updated.
We do not run promotions, discounts or time-limited offers. If you see anything on the site that you believe breaks advertising rules for medical services, tell us. You can also complain to the advertising regulator in your country, such as the Advertising Standards Authority in the United Kingdom.
You do not need a complaint to write to us. If a page helped, if it did not, or if there is something you looked for and could not find, the same contact details work and we read everything.
