The content of this site is reviewed by clinicians but it is general information. It is not medical advice, it cannot tell you whether a procedure is right for you, and it never replaces a consultation with a surgeon who has examined you.

This site helps people research plastic and cosmetic surgery abroad: what a procedure involves, what it typically costs, what recovery looks like, what the risks are and how to judge a clinic. It is written to be accurate and it is reviewed by qualified clinicians before publication. It is still general information.
Patient coordinators who answer the consultation form and the live chat are not clinicians, do not give medical advice and cannot assess you. They can explain what a page means, what a package usually includes and how the process works, and they can pass your questions to a clinic. Anything medical must be discussed with the surgeon.
Pages marked as medically reviewed have been checked for clinical accuracy by a named clinician whose credentials are shown on the page. Their review confirms that the general information is correct at the review date. It is not an opinion about you, and the reviewer has no relationship with you.
Every surgical procedure carries risks, including the possibility of infection, bleeding, scarring, asymmetry, dissatisfaction with the result and, rarely, serious complications. The risks pages on this site describe the recognised risks of each procedure in general terms and cite their sources; they cannot describe your risk. Results shown or described are illustrative. Nobody can promise you a particular outcome, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
Having surgery abroad adds considerations that surgery at home does not: fitness to fly, the length of stay needed before travel is safe, access to follow-up care once you are home, and what happens if a complication develops after you return. The travel and recovery information on this site is general. Discuss your own situation with the surgeon and with your own doctor before you book.
This site cannot help in an emergency. If you have had surgery and develop symptoms that worry you, contact the clinic that treated you, your own doctor, or local emergency services immediately.
Medicine changes. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. A page that has not been reviewed recently may be out of date, and we would rather you knew that than assumed otherwise.
