Start here: this is not a Westernising operation
A double eyelid crease is a natural feature for roughly half of people of East Asian descent, not something imported from Western features. The aim of asian blepharoplasty, done well, is a crease that suits your own eye shape and proportions, keeping the epicanthal fold at the inner corner unless you specifically ask for it to be altered.
A surgeon who proposes a high crease plus epicanthoplasty as a default, rather than because you specifically asked for it, is not practising this operation as it is intended. Be clear in your own mind, and in your consultation, about what you actually want to keep and what you want to change, since this distinction shapes the whole surgical plan.
