What drives the price of cheek implants?
A cheek implant quote is built from several specific decisions, not a single flat fee for "cheek surgery."
The implant shape is the first fork: a malar implant sitting over the cheekbone itself, a submalar implant filling the hollow beneath it, a combined malar-submalar implant covering both, or a fully custom implant designed from a CT scan of your own facial skeleton. Custom implants cost considerably more and add several weeks of lead time for design and manufacture, reserved for marked asymmetry or revision cases where an off-the-shelf shape will not fit well.
The implant material, solid silicone or porous polyethylene, affects price modestly, with the choice generally driven by surgeon preference and how the implant integrates with surrounding tissue rather than cost alone. Fixation method is included in essentially every quote, since screw fixation to bone is now standard practice and has made implant shifting considerably less common than in older techniques that relied on the pocket alone to hold the implant in place.
Where cheek implants are combined with another procedure, most often rhinoplasty or a facelift, the combined-procedure discount that many clinics offer for sharing one anaesthetic and one recovery period can meaningfully lower the total compared with two separate trips.
