What hip augmentation can and cannot do
Understanding the genuine limit of this procedure matters before you compare a single price. What hip augmentation cannot do is change your bones. The width of your pelvis sets the underlying framework, and augmentation fills and rounds the soft tissue over that framework rather than altering the skeleton itself. A patient hoping for a dramatic reshaping of their overall silhouette, rather than a softer, fuller outline over their existing bone structure, is setting an expectation this procedure was never designed to meet.
Removing fat from the waist and flanks through liposuction, performed alongside or instead of hip augmentation, narrows the waist, and a narrower waist can make existing hips read as fuller without anything being added at all. This is worth discussing at consultation, since for some patients, waist narrowing alone achieves much of the visual effect they were hoping augmentation would provide.
