Start here: less in one sitting is the right outcome
This is the page where the honest answer is that less will be done in one sitting than you would like, and that this is the right outcome rather than a disappointing one. Every operation involved on its own is routine. Performing three or four of them consecutively on one patient under one anaesthetic is a fundamentally different proposition, and the reason has nothing to do with the surgeon's ability.
The limiting factor is what a body tolerates under anaesthesia, cooling, and immobility over several hours. None of the three main risks, clotting, hypothermia and blood loss, is improved by a more skilful surgeon; all three are improved by a shorter operation. Understanding this before your first consultation reframes a staged plan as the safer, more considered approach rather than a lesser one.
